New Things I Declare

I love to read and learn. Sometimes, there's just not enough hours in the day to satisfy that hunger. If all I did was read and learn I'd never fulfill the mandate to share the gospel in the unique way God has assigned to me. That uniqueness involves a heart-centered approach.

If you've followed me for any length of time, you know that the unique way of sharing the gospel is by coaching the heart for emotional healing, and transformation. Let's face it, sometimes we need God to come to us in a different way. Other times, He initiates a different style of

We all are in need of healing from time to time.

We all have experiences where we need a little more than our normal spiritual practices.

Sometimes we're being called to listen to our own heart cries.

Sometimes we need hope. Real hope that doesn't fade.

Romans 5:5 And hope doesn't disappoint us; because God has poured out His love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, whom He has given us.

Over the last summer, I felt the call to go into Judea and Samaria. I waited and watched. I prayed and tuned into the desires God placed in my heart. The dream to make emotional healing and wholeness turned into an idea for an app. Then came an opportunity I wasn't looking for. A podcast in four countries. I'm always amazed at how God does this stuff.

So again I prayed. I sought wise counsel. The wise counsel varied. Some said don't do it. Others said you can do it cheaper, and still others said to work with a Christian agency. But, my heart wanted to go outside the four walls of the church. Then I remembered a prophetic word given to me years ago. At the time it didn't make sense. As I reflected, it suddenly all made sense. The second confirmation came when I was privileged to coach the heart of a discouraged believer that had just given up on God. God met her and her family! Not only that, she told me later that she had found a church and was ready to step back into the church! What confirmation!

As soon as that was settled in my heart, a chance to help plant a church in an urban area of Pittsburgh. Another new thing and an answer to prayer. For the last three years, I had longed for a different expression of faith in the church. Don't get me wrong, the church I currently attend is really good! It was just God's way of preparing my husband and I for something new. This new church in the heart of Lawrenceville is called Story Collective Church. The name alone grabbed me. I love listening to the stories of others. It's such a great way to really get to know others. Allowing someone to tell their story and having someone listen, gives them the gift of being listened to, known, and understood.

I find myself camping on this verse

Isaiah 42:9 See, the former things have taken place, and new things I declare!

Where it all leads, I don't know.

Will it be easy? Parts of it will be and I'm sure parts of it won't be.

Life is always changing and it just happens to be changing in sync with the new year.

So, look out here comes 2023....

Mega Blessings

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year
